Yes, its a 7 course Renaissance lute. Early music composers such as Dowland, Holborne etc. would have played on this sort of lute. When you get to the Baroque era the lutes got much bigger and had more strings to have greater number of bass notes. But during the time of Mozart they had gone completely out of fashion! The tuning is (F'F) (G'G) (Cc) (FF) (AA) (dd) (g) lowest to highest.

Thank you for your kind words! I've only been playing for a couple of months, hard to fit in with Uni work but def. worth it. Classical music is super!
